The Met Dress Up Paper Dolls (DK)
I worked with DK Publishing and the illustrator, Cass Urquart, to develop the mechanisms and die-lines for this paper dolls book for The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I developed each outfit so that the tabs helped to easily fit each specific outfit and also design the dolls shapes and make sure they were freestanding.

'It Takes a Village' Popup Book
I was commissioned by NOOMA Studio to paper engineer (and subsequently illustrate) their entry for the Davidson Prize. A competition prompting ideas that recognise transformative architecture of the home.
The design was one of the finalists for the competition in 2022.
As well as designing and illustrating the book, I also made and bound each copy.

Baby T. Rex designed for 'Popup and Play Dinosaurs'

Popup baby T. Rex designed for 'Popup and Play Dinosaurs' book published by Ciranda Cultural, commissioned by Elephant & Bird Books. Illustrations by Tracy Cottingham.

The baby T. Rex is not attached to the book and can be played with alongside the playmat which folds out from the final page. The dinosaur has a mechanism, so that once it has popped up, it can stand up by itself - which can be undone so the dinosaur can be placed back in to the book and stored safely until next time
